The Grimm-Onur Government Compex

The new home of the Parliament (Opened in 2002) is the Grimm-Onur Government Complex; named for the discoverer of the Coral Islands, Kalissa Grimm-Onur. It contains two buildings; the Grimm Adminstrative Building and the Onur Parliamentary Building.

The Onur Parliamentary Building contains the offices of the MPs as well as the Clerks' Office and the Hansard Office Sound Booth. For access to Hansard, please make use of the Parliamentary Library in the Grimm Administrative Building.

The Onur Parliamentary Building also contains three unique water features. There is a Circular Fountain which can be read like a clock, an Ornamental Pool that is decorated with patterns of light and scenic pictures projected from equipment both in the roof and beneath the water's surface, and also the Fishpond, which contains goldfish fed personally by the Principal every day. The Fishpond is in front of the South Entrance to the Parliamentary Chamber, and is the location for media scrums. Outside of the building is a large Reflecting Pool.

The main feature of the Onur Parliamentary Building is the Parliamentary Chamber. Inside the Parliamentary Chamber is the largest table in the country. It is in the shape of a ring, with an external diameter of 100 meters. Just as with their offices, MPs are assigned to seats at the table according to the alphabetical precedence of their last name; except for the Cabinet Ministers, who sit in a group at the Eastern End. The Mace has a resting pedestal in front of the Principal. The Clerks' Desk is behind the Cabinet. Set in what would be the floor in the centre of the Parliamentary Table's ring is a very large piece of cloth. This separates the Parliamentary Chamber from the orchestra pit in the basement, where students from the High Province University Of The Arts perform their curriculum-required recitals, serenading the Parliamentarians as they work. An elaborate system of over a hundred videocameras and audio pickups relays the goings-on of the Parliament to viewers on the Parliamentary Television Network and also in the Gallery.

The Gallery, located in the Grimm Administrative Building, a masterpiece of technology. It has a large screen which allows up to two hundred spectators to view the workings of the Parliament as if they were seated at the Parliamentary Table themselves. Those in the Gallery can also send messages directly to the MPs electronically through a special communication network, or by hand via a Page. The Gallery also contains ten booths in which one can choose any camera's video feed from which to view the Parliament. The booths also contain direct-message communications nodes.

The Ministry offices are also located in the Grimm Administrative Building, along with the Parliamentary Library, the Map Room, several meeting rooms, the Parliamentary Cafeteria, a Chapel, and a City Transportation Subhub.

The Principal is the Speaker Of The Parliament, House Leader, and also the Prime Minister Of The Cabinet. S/He is the Head Of State and therefore also the Commander In Chief of the Military. The current Principal is Kie Turtlecrest.
