The Principality Of The Coral Islands

Prince Kie Turtlecrest

Turtlecrest is the first Prince Of The Coral Islands in over half a century.

From a young age, Kie Turtlecrest showed an interest in economics. His goal was to become a reporter for a prestigious newspaper. In the Autumn of 1974 his dream came true when he was accepted as a Junior Reporter for the Päs Telegram. He did not, however, gain a post at the business section of the daily. Instead he was assigned to the political section, and given the task of shadowing the Financial Minister. By the end of the 197V election Turtlecrest had decided to get a Masters Degree in politics and run in the next election. He was narrowly voted in by the constituents of his home riding, and soon rose to the forefront of the political world. He became Foreign Trade Minister in 198V, and Principal one term after. A dynamic speaker and skilled politician, Turtlecrest has become very popular. He is credited with bringing the PCI into the Commonwealth Of Abendland; boosting the Conch from a relatively devalued currency to economic powerhouse; and for streamlining the government while adding to its basic services. In 200V a petition was presented to the Parliament requesting a referendum to revert to a monarchic system of government, that if passed would install Turtlecrest as a Prince. He would continue in his current roles, with the new title. The one exception is that he would have to renounce his elected seat in Parliament and take on a permanent one. The referendum passed, making Turtlecrest the PCI's first Prince in the new monarchy. Turtlecrest is married and has five children.
